AILAND speaks about building a next-generation shooter on Saga Cassiopeia

Andreas Kobal, CTO of AILAND and Valentin Sotov, CEO of AILAND took a moment to share their experience building an AI and blockchain enabled shooter using Saga Cassiopeia. Ailand has been under development for 1 1/2 years and is a next-gen shooter game which enables players to monetize time spent in the game.

Here is what they said:

We have been thinking about having our own L1 for awhile and Saga has made this possible. We are excited because this is an L1 and not an L2.

The benefits because of the Cosmos SDK is we have more control over the validators and the blockchain itself. It is a fully customizable blockchain protocol that allows us to modify the chain for our own needs.

It took us a few hours to get up and running, setting up our own chainlet and getting testnet tokens. It was much easier compared to launching your own L1 when it comes to finding your own validators and getting them to secure your chain.

I think that Saga Cassiopeia is the only solution that exists on the market for game developers to run and launch their own blockchain efficiently and effectively. Of course you can do one using the Cosmos SDK but it will take a lot more time and effort than using something like Saga.

It will save you months of energy, especially for game developers who don’t want to go deep and have to learn how to launch their own protocol.

We have been building on WASM compatible blockchains as well as EVM. We have plenty of experience building on different blockchains. Our game is a multichain solution that enables interoperability for assets. They can use our avatars in our games and we have enabled cross chain transactions in our games.

The documentation was very clear and easy to understand. There was no struggle on how to enable and launch your own blockchain. It took us only a few hours to learn and launch our chainlet.
